This is where you tell people a couple of rules about your board, how it works, things like that.  This is a "gateway page" to your actual message board.  Naturally, visitors can bookmark the actual message board and go right to your message board. It takes awhile to start any message board - don't be in a hurry, you don't want it to be lonely.  I know of message boards that haven't had a post in years.
